Grace Is Enough

I used to always here the song "Your Grace Is Enough" by Chris Tomlin and just sing along, never really hearing or understanding the words. The book of Galatians is amazing... Paul is writing to the believers in Galatia to tell them that the Gospel that he already told them on his first missionary journey to the province of Galatia is the real Gospel, that Gospel is that salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ ALONE. "Judaizers" (extreme Jews) were preaching a different Gospel, telling the Gentiles that they must believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior AND follow the Jewish law from Old Testament. So in the book of Galatians Paul explains salvation as faith through Christ being the only thing that can free us from the bondage of sin, nothing else.

We often feel like we have to earn God's love or do something that makes us deserve what Jesus went through on the cross. These feelings contradict the Bible that God's love is unconditional and that our salvation is free.

The "Good News" is that salvation is FREE :) In today's society we are conditioned to believe that nothing can be free, we have to either pay or perform a certain way to receive anything now a days. God's grace and love being free and unconditional seems way to good to be true. Grace CAN NOT be earned, only received. There is nothing we can do to earn salvation or to make God love us any more than He does right this minute. The Gospel is Good News, God is for us, not against us. God loves us right now as much as He will ever love us. God makes salvation available to anyone who will receive it by [F A I T H]. The true gospel sets us [F R E E]

"If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed."
John 8:36
