Dressember!

Hey friends! This December I am participating in a fun style challenge & social injustice awareness event called "Dressember"!

Dressember was started by a lady named Blythe a couple years ago. She started "Dressember" just as a personal style challenge, trying to wear a dress everyday of the month of December. It then grew as the years progressed and has evolved into this awesome month of celebrating femininity, unique style, and freedom. I love that "Dressember" has partnered with International Justice Mission this year to bring freedom to men & women in slavery and sexual exploitation. Here is a little about IJM,

"International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that brings rescue to victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to secure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to ensure that public justice systems - police, courts and laws - effectively protect the poor." (www.ijm.org)

So this year as we all wear dresses every day of December it will be much more than just a dress. It will be standing with women all around the world. Celebrating feminity, celebrating freedom, and also fighting for freedom on behalf of others. Join me on this adventure in dresses, an adventure to celebrate femininity and fight for freedom.

If you are a girl, you should participate! You don't need a dress for everyday, just be creative and use the dresses you already have as everyday outfits. Watch the video below for some ideas, inspiration, and some guidelines! If you are a lovely gentleman and want to donate or sponsor a lady or simply give to Dressember, then click on the link below! Everyone can participate and make a difference in lives all around the world.

If you are participating, tell people! Spread the word, raise awareness, and make it more than just a dress.

If you would be interested in sponsoring me or giving to Dressember in anyway, visit https://www.ijmfreedommaker.org/campaign/1821/Dressember-for-IJM/
