Falling In Love

I absolutely love that quote! How true it is that when we are in love with someone we will pretty much do anything, think about it. If a guy calls you that you like and asks you to go grab dinner and you are already in your pajamas... you know you will get dressed quicker than you did in freshman P.E. class! In my quiet time this morning I really felt the Lord putting on my heart to pray for a love revival in people's lives around me and in Orange County and in the United States and in the World!

If people fell in love with Jesus again and stayed in love with Him imagine the difference. Christians would talk about Him more than anyone, they would do anything for Him, they would always clear their schedule for Him.

Does Jesus Christ have the thrown of your heart? Seriously? I know we say that as Christians a lot but does Jesus really have first priority in your life over everything? Over friends and family? Over social media? Over movies, books, and entertainment? Where do you invest your time, money, and thoughts into? What do you talk about?

I know that the Lord really convicted me and compelled me that no matter what I do it needs to be out of abundant love for Him, it needs to be the overflow of my crazy in love romance with the One who died to set me free. When you are in love with Jesus Christ it is easy to surrender, you aren't afraid to yield your life to Him because you know deep down in your heart that He is in love with you! He loves to see you thrive as His Beloved Son or Daughter. He delights when you fall and look to Him for rescuing, He loves to rescue you! He loves your faults, He loves your failures, because ultimately they bring you back to Him and that is what He loves the most is being with you. That is His favorite thing, just to be with you. He died for your sins and so you could spend eternity in Heaven with Him yes, BUT He also died so He could be with you, now. Before you get to Heaven. Our patient God couldn't even wait a little while to spend time with You. Take advantage of His death, spend time with Him, fall in love with Him again. Because once you do your trust and surrender will happen naturally.

 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”

“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”
