He DIED for us!

"but God shows His love for us in that while we were STILL SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US." (Romans 5:8)

This is AMAZING! God didn't die for me because I was good, perfect, or righteous. He died for me as a sinner! He died for me when I turned my back on Him, when I rejected Him, when I mocked Him, when I chased after other lovers... If He died for me when I was mean and hateful toward Him I KNOW that nothing I do can make Him stop loving me. I feel free to come to Him with any sin and any emotion because I know that He will love me no matter what and that He will not love me any less than He did when He died for me when I didn't even love Him!

How crazy is that? He DIED for me when I hated Him. He loved me so much then to die for me and now when I come to Him with something I feel like He won't love me because of it. Crazy! Absolutely crazy! The Lord's love is CONSTANT and NEVER CHANGING.

Never feel like your sin or emotional state is going to upset or turn God off from loving you. It is impossible. Our minds can never understand God's love because we are incapable of loving so purely. Accept God's love for you. While you were the worst to Him He died for you - that should show you how much He loves you. Not because of what you do, what you say, or how you live your life. He simply loves you because He made you, you are His creation, His masterpiece... He adores you and wants you to come to Him with everything so that He can just continue to die for you over and over again. All He wants is to love you. Accept His love.
