Rest

I love how the Lord constantly reveals things to me about Himself and about how much He cares for me. I have been learning lately that the Lord just wants me to rest.

God just wants me to rest in His love, slow down and live in His love, and invite people to rest. No matter whatever is going on in my life I know that with the Lord I can rest, I can be quiet, I can just be... Makes me fall that much more in love with Him. His character and all that He is; amazes me, captivates me, invites me, and restores me. I can't help but want to be with Him every moment and every minute of every day.

God loves to prove Himself faithful and more than enough to satisfy our hungry souls. When we do turn to Him, our souls rest and we are saved. Again. And again.

So I want to encourage and challenge you. Do you believe that God is good, perfect, and loving? Do you believe that He wants nothing but the best for you and has beautiful, perfect plans for your life? Are you feeling tired, stressed, worried, burdened, beat down? Lay those anxieties down at the foot of the cross, keep your eyes fixed on the One who gives light. Take God's burden which is light and give Him yours which is heavy. Come to the Lord in full faith and surrender and just quiet yourself and rest in everything that He is - Love.

"Those who look to Him are radiant,
and their faces shall never be ashamed." - Psalm 34:5

"Our soul waits for the Lord;
He is our help and our shield.
