Image of Christ

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." [Ephesians 6:12]

Our unity as the body of Christ, as a married couple, as friends... shows the perfect image of Christ. When we are unified and fully giving, loving, and sacrificing for someone else we are most like Christ and bearing His pure image of love to this world. That is why this verse is so important, we need to look past all of our small problems that are keeping us from the big picture of who we are fighting against. Anytime conflict comes up with any of us it is the enemy's way of making us destroy the image of God which is love, purity, unity, sacrifice, faithfulness, joy, peace, patience, forgiveness. So next time you have a thought toward someone or are in a fight, remember you are both on the same team. The team of love, the team of Jesus. Recognize and address conflict and resolve it by looking at the bigger picture, the bigger picture that shows you are both fighting for the Kingdom, together.
